In 2014, ALFI joined the community of socially responsible organisations in Luxembourg by receiving the CSR label delivered by the National Institute for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility (INDR). The label has been recently extended as of 28 September 2023 in recognition of ALFI’s engagement to corporate social responsibility and to the multiple initiatives supporting the sustainable development of Luxembourg.
ALFI actively supports sustainable development which we believe can only be achieved through an all-encompassing commitment to financial, social and environmental matters. In line with this commitment, This event has been awarded the Green Business Events logo, which is granted by the General Directorate for Tourism of the Ministry of the Economy.
To date, the following sustainable practices have been implemented at our conference to protect the environment and put our people and communities first.
- Reduction of printed materials, favoring digital communication
- Use of recycled paper when printing is necessary
- Elimination of promotional giveaways
- Furniture, temporary structures and decoration rented for the event are reusable
- We do not use carpeting
- Chambre de Commerce is powered by 100% renewable electricity
- Waste sorting is implemented during the setup and dismantling of the event, with clear instructions
- Seasonal, local, and organic products whenever possible
- Vegan and vegetarian alternatives are available
- We make use of reusable dishes
- We promote gender equality and diversity in the participation of our event
- We enhance social, human, or cultural accessibility to make our event more inclusive
