A JPMorgan Asset Management Luxembourg employee since 2004, Philippe is the CEO of JPMorgan Asset Management (Europe) S.à r.l., the Luxembourg based company responsible, as Management Company and AIFM, of the Asset Management Luxembourg, Irish and French UCITS as well as Alternative funds. Philippe also serves as the JPMorgan Senior Country Officer since May 2023. Philippe has been active in the industry and with ALFI for more than a decade, participating in several Working Group and co-chairing the ALFI Swing Pricing WG. He is also an ALFI Board member since 2019. Philippe began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1997 (subsequently merged into Ernst & Young) where he audited funds and banks until 2004, where he joined JPMorgan Asset Management, being appointed as a Conducting Officer in 2011 and as CEO in 2021. Philippe holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, as well as a Master’s degree in audit and Finance from the Paris Ecole Supérieure de Gestion (France), and a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Warwick (UK).
The subscription tax is a key element for Luxembourg investment funds and plays an important role in the competitiveness of the Luxembourg financial centre. The Luxembourg law of 21 July 2023 amended the fund laws with a view to modernise some of their provisions on subscription tax aspects, to encourage the emergence and development of the new EU regimes for European Long Term Investment Funds (ELTIFs) and the pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) and bring some provisions into line with more up-to-date and flexible ones. Two leading respresentatives of the fund industry will examine outstanding issues, challenges and potential future developments from both a fiscal and operational perspective.
