Current and future challenges
Mr. Cataldi serves as the Conducting Officer at AllianceBernstein Luxembourg (a superManco with top-up license), where - among other responsibilities - he oversees the Compliance function and acts as RC for the company and its managed funds. Giovanni joined AllianceBernstein in 2012, bringing with him relevant experience in various control functions within the Luxembourg financial sector. Mr. Cataldi is actively involved in several industry associations at both the Luxembourg and European levels, including ALFI, ALCO, and EFAMA. He is an advisor to the board of ALCO and the chairman of the EFAMA AML/CTF Task Force. Since 2018, he has represented ALFI in the Luxembourg AML/CFT public-private partnership for investment funds.

This panel will feature AML experts directly involved in the ALFI AML Working Group, who will discuss the work carried out in recent months and the upcoming initiatives. The discussions will include updates of the ALFI AML Guidelines on topics such as the due diligence on the asset side, risk assessment, terrorism financing and other key areas of focus in AML compliance for the fund industry.
