Insurance-linked securities (ILS) are a unique asset class that allows investors to gain exposure to insurance risks, such as natural disasters or other catastrophic events, in exchange for potential returns. These securities are typically issued by insurance or reinsurance companies and are structured to transfer specific risks from the issuer to the investors.
