Jeremy Agnew is a Managing Director and senior counsel in the Legal Department of BlackRock based in New York, supporting the Alternatives business. He was previously Head of EMEA Funds Legal at BlackRock in London, where he was responsible for registered and private funds. Jeremy joined BlackRock in January 2007 from the Asset Management Department of Matheson Ormsby Prentice in Ireland. He previously worked for Gilbert + Tobin in Australia for 4 years. Jeremy obtained a First Class Honors Law degree and a B Asian Studies (Korean) from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australia. He obtained a Masters in Law with Distinction from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating first in his class. He is admitted as a lawyer in New York, England and Wales and New South Wales, Australia.
