Gunnar Wiljander has 38 years of experience in financial markets built up through various asset management, banking, management, board, trading and trading management roles.

Gunnar is the CEO of Atle Fund Management, a central company in the Atle group in Stockholm, where he was serving as a board director from 2021. He is also a board director of TC SA SICAV-RAIF and Truepenny Capital Management. He was an independent board director and consultant after leaving Tidan Capital in 2023, where he was the CEO.

From 2010 to 2020, Gunnar was the CEO of Nektar Asset Management, a fixed income relative value and macro hedge fund manager which employed 52 people in three offices, Stockholm, London and Singapore.

Prior to joining Nektar he was a consultant and advisor to hedge funds and institutional investors through his own, London-based, Wiljander & Co. From 2001 to 2008, Gunnar was working as a banker to hedge funds for SEB. Prior to that he was head of international financial institutions sales in fixed income and currencies, counting major asset managers and hedge funds as his customers.

Before joining SEB in 1998, Gunnar was head of proprietary trading in fixed income and foreign exchange for listed investment company Investor AB. From 1986 to 1993, Gunnar started as a fixed income trader at PK Banken and later moved to Midland Montagu Bank (HSBC Group) where he became head of fixed income and treasury. Before moving to Investor in 1994, Gunnar was head of fixed income at Swedbank.

Gunnar graduated from Stockholm School of Economics in 1987.
