Rikard Lundgren is since 2016 a Luxembourg based non-executive independent Director, Manager with mandates in regulated and non-regulated Luxembourg entities. He has advised or project managed over 20 Luxembourg fund set-up projects for Investment Managers and Investors. His last operational role was as CIO and partner of IMQubator, an APG funded seed investor in start-up Hedge and Private Equity funds. Before this he was Head of Investments (20 bnEUR) at Folksam, a Swedish insurance company, CEO and CIO of the Finance division of Inter-IKEA, interspersed with periods as independent advisor and consultant to a range of investment organisations.
Previous board assignments include; Informed Portfolio Management (IPM), Shepherd Capital, Catella Kapitalförvaltning, Romanesco Capital, Cajsa Warg AB, Airborne International.
He has appeared as speaker at AIMA, Swedish House of Finace (SHoF) the Swedish Society of Financial Analysts (SFF), Swedish Investor’s Club and other industry conferences. His articles have been published in the AIMA journal, Hedge Fund Journal, Opalesque, Duke, Andy, ILA News-Letter, Haaretz and in bank news-letters. Before Investment Management he held specialist and managerial positions in the Global Markets divisions of First Chicago, Bankers Trust, Swedbank and Deutsche Bank.
He holds a Bachelors degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, is a graduate from the Swedish Army’s School of Languages and speaks six languages. He is a keen scuba-diver, woodman and landscape gardener.
