Christian Biever is a Luxembourgish career diplomat, currently serving as the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Spain and Andorra since September 2021. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Biever held several pivotal positions within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg. From 2017 to 2021, he led the consular affairs and international cultural relations directorate. Concurrently, he served as the non-resident Ambassador of Luxembourg to the Holy See from 2019 to 2021 and to the Republic of North Macedonia from 2017 to 2018. Between 2012 and 2017, he was the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Greece, also accredited to Romania and Cyprus.

Mr. Biever's earlier roles include serving as the Deputy Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna from 2006 to 2012 and working within the Directorate of International Development Cooperation from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, he was stationed at the Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the European Union in Brussels from 1998 to 2003, where he held various strategic roles, notably as the Deputy Permanent Representative to the Political and Security Committee between 2001 and 2003.

His dedication and exemplary service have been recognized with several honors, including being appointed as an Officer of the Order of Merit of Luxembourg and receiving the Grand Cross of the Order of the Phoenix from the Hellenic Republic.
