Leonardo Vasques, CFA - Senior Portfolio Manager. Leonardo joined Itaú Asset Management in 2000 and works as Senior Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing indexed funds and ETFs. He has been managing indexed products for over twenty years, having participated in the launch of around 20 ETFs, such as PIBB (first Brazilian ETF), It Now IPSA (first Chilean ETF), IMAB (first Brazilian in-kind Fixed Income ETF) and several ETFs that invest abroad. Previously, he was Senior Portfolio manager of active funds in the local Equities team for 10 years. He began his career as a trainee in the Risk Management area at Unibanco. Leonardo has a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, in Law from the University of São Paulo, a postgraduate degree in Finance from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a master's degree in Finance and Economics from Insper. He also holds a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification, specializations in Investment and Risk Management from the Yale School of Management and the PRI Academy, with a focus on Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis.
