Alec Murphy is a Senior Product Specialist in Private Assets at Lombard Odier, based in Geneva, where he is responsible for presenting and distributing the firm’s private asset capabilities to institutional clients and sophisticated wealth investors. His work spans private equity, secondaries, venture capital, infrastructure, and sustainable private market strategies, with a focus on investor engagement, solution‑oriented product positioning, and long‑term relationship development.

Before joining Lombard Odier, Alec was a Principal at Capstone Partners, where he led private asset fundraising activities and managed European aspects of fundraising project execution across a wide range of primary and select secondary mandates. He worked closely with general partners on investor messaging, fundraising documentation, and institutional due diligence processes. These mandates covered buyout, growth, venture equity, infrastructure, and secondary continuation vehicles. He has completed fundraises with leading managers including Arctos, Archimed, Atlas Capital, L Catterton, Northzone, Trilantic Europe, and Whitehorse.

Earlier in his career, Alec spent several years in leveraged finance deal origination roles at HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group in London, working with leading UK and European private equity sponsors on acquisition financings and refinancings across senior loan and high‑yield capital structures.

Alec is a dual Canadian and British citizen, holds a first‑class honours degree in Business Studies and Finance from Cass Business School, and is fluent in English and French.
