Ben Zhu joined Muzinich in October 2020 as the first employee under the Hong Kong office, as part of the Asia Pacific Private Credit Team. He has 14 years experience in Asia debt markets with a focus on North Asia, across private, public, performing and distressed credit across both corporate and real assets. Prior to that Ben was responsible for private debt, syndicated loan trading and special situations business Asia Pacific with a focus on the Greater China opportunities at the global loans and special situations, Asia Pacific team at HSBC. He also spent 4 years at COWELL & LEE Capital Management in Hong Kong focusing on private debt, distressed and special situation opportunities in Asia Pacific. He began his career at RBS and JPM where he spent 5 years in the DCM and leveraged finance team in HK.
Ben holds a first class honor bachelors degree from the University of Hong Kong with double major in Finance and Real Estate and is originally from Shanghai.
