Matthew is an experienced direct lending and leveraged finance investment professional, having spent over 20 years focussed on the origination, structuring and execution of lead arranged financing solutions in support of European private equity-backed transactions.  Prior to joining Pemberton in 2022, Matthew was a Managing Director and founding member of Apollo’s European Private Credit team. Previously, Matthew was a Director at both Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe and GE Capital focussed on sponsor coverage and the execution of bilateral, underwritten and clubbed leveraged finance transactions. Matthew holds a BA (Hons) in Business and Finance from Oxford Brookes University and a BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester.
