Volker is Managing Partner of ECE Real Estate Partners, responsible for defining the company’s overall strategy. ECE REP is an institutional investment management firm focused on European shopping centers and hotels with more than €10bn AuM. Prior to joining ECE in 2008, he was a Director of Allianz Capital Partners, a German private equity firm, where he was a member of the management team and the internal investment committee. From 2009-2015, he served on the Board of Directors of DDR Corp. (now Site Centers), a leading owner & operator of open-air shopping centers in the US. In 2014, he was appointed to the BoD of Aliansce Sonae Shopping Centers S.A., the largest developer & operator of shopping malls in Brazil, and since 2022 Volker serves on the Board of Directors of Deutsche EuroShop AG, Germany’s only public company investing solely in shopping centers. Volker obtained a master’s degree in business administration and a doctorate in finance from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
