Germain retired in 2022 after having spent more than 40 years in the financial sector and more particularly in the fund industry. He started his career with the Luxembourg Stock exchange and held thereafter various senior and executive positions with local and international institutions such as Banque de Luxembourg, Intesa Group, Bank of Bermuda, HSBC and RBC. During those years he was an active contributor to industry bodies such as ABBL, LFF and ALFI. He participated in numerous conferences and roadshows as a speaker, in Luxembourg and around the globe. Within ALFI, he (co-)chaired the Promotions committee as well as roadshow organising committees for Latin America, the Middle East and Switzerland.
Nowadays, he is the Vice-Chairman and a member of the Executive Board of the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) and has been an official guide to the Grand-Ducal Palace for almost 45 years. More recently, he published his first novel under the title 'Trois clés' (Three keys), a family intrigue with numerous adventures in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
