Pravin joined UBS Asset Management in January 2020 to run the ETF Capital Markets team. Leading the ETF Capital Markets team at UBS Asset Management, his objective is to help clients achieve best execution when trading ETFs. He assists clients in assessing liquidity in an ETF ecosystem fragmented with multiple share classes and listings in various currencies on different exchanges, whether to trade on risk or versus NAV and its associated costs and with whom to trade ETFs if using the request for quote protocol on MTF or via the SI regime when trading over the counter. The ETF wrapper offers our clients the key benefits of intraday liquidity, holdings transparency and certainty of execution.
He collaborates with his colleagues in Product Development and Portfolio Management as well as external Partners (Market Makers and Authorised Participants) to improve the architecture of trading UBS ETFs in the primary market, so clients benefit from tight risk prices and NAV spreads in the secondary market.
Before joining UBS, Pravin was a Delta One Trader (ETFs, Swaps, Futures, etc.) for the past 15 years at various investment banks including JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, UniCredit and HSBC. Pravin read Economics at the University of Cambridge and graduated in 2004.
