Fiona de Watazzi is a Partner in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach. She advises global asset managers, fund sponsors and institutional investors on all legal and regulatory aspects related to the structuring, formation, marketing and ongoing operation of Luxembourg investment funds, with a particular emphasis on alternative investment funds (AIFs) and UCITS.
Her expertise spans the full spectrum of regulated and unregulated fund vehicles, including SCSp, RAIFs, SIFs and SICARs, as well as European long-term investment funds (ELTIFs). Fiona has a particular focus on liquid and semi-liquid AIFs investing in private assets such as private equity, private debt, infrastructure and venture capital. She also regularly advises on fund governance and compliance matters and secondary transactions and co-investment arrangements.
Fiona is known for her pragmatic and commercially driven approach, supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their investment structures—from initial setup and regulatory approval to ongoing operations and strategic restructuring.
