Annual conferences in Luxembourg and London attract expert audiences from Europe and overseas. Fund professionals come together to discuss latest market and regulatory developments with their peers, and share best practices to lead their businesses to sustainable growth.
The annual London conference is a highlight in the ALFI event calendar, not just for its scale. With hundreds of organisations from the investment fund business and more than 1,600 registrants, the conference is testament to the continued importance of the business ties between London and Luxembourg.
It has been almost exactly a decade since the United Kingdom’s historic vote to leave the European Union and a little over five years since its decision took effect. However, the relationship between the UK’s asset management industry and Luxembourg—the world’s second largest fund domicile and servicing centre—is as strong as ever, according to speakers at the ALFI London Conference 2026 on 2 July.
About 1,000 professionals from both countries and beyond registered to attend the 22nd edition of the annual event, which showcases Luxembourg’s fund industry in the heart of the City of London. The conference featured presentations and debates on topics ranging from the impact of artificial intelligence on asset management and fund servicing to the emerging tokenisation revolution, the role of the European Investment Bank, the steady advance of private markets investment, changing attitudes toward investment in the defence industry, and regulatory and legislative developments on both sides of the English Channel—all set against a backdrop of global economic uncertainty and geopolitical turbulence, including on Europe’s borders.
