The democratisation of private assets: is the phenomenon here to stay?

It is safe to say that the retailisation of private assets is one of the recent megatrends of the investment fund industry.
Asset managers throughout the entire asset spectrum are moving beyond their traditional institutional customer base, and tapping into additional capital from high-net-worth individuals and family offices.
The panellists will discuss the key drivers of this trend, including so-called “access vehicles” to traditional private funds, as well as recent changes to the ELTIF regime and its UK equivalent - the LTAF.
They will also examine potential challenges such as valuation, liquidity and the handling of a greater number of investors and discuss how the market is likely to develop in the coming years.
