Gisele Duenas Leiva, Director, is Head of Manager Research Sales EMEA, strengthening the links with the Fund Selection units of wealth clients across EMEA region, to drive the fund selection strategy in the region across segments and support product innovation across active, alternative, index strategies & solutions.
Prior to that she was responsible for Sales in Belgium & Country Head for Luxembourg, Head of Manager Research BeLux and Sustainable Champion for the BeLux region, maintaining a broad market understanding of sustainable landscape and regulation as well as driving the local product development needs. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2017, Mrs Duenas Leiva worked as an Institutional Sales Director for Belgium and Luxembourg, from 2013 to 2017 at Franklin Templeton Investments. She consultant's the sales strategy and sales development for Belgium and Luxembourg institutional markets, including pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign entities, foundations, etc.
From 2009 to 2013, Mrs Duenas Leiva was responsible for institutional clients and member of the Institutional Portfolio Management Investment Committee at Banque Degroof. She was also responsible to manage consultant's relations. Prior to that, Mrs Duenas Leiva worked at Fortis Investments managing the relationships with internal and external distributors and at The Bank of New York, managing the optimization of collateral portfolios within the Brokers/Dealers Services.
Mrs Duenas Leiva holds a Master Degree from Louvain School of Management (Universite Catholique de Louvain UCL) in Business Administration and Finance (2003)
