Christian Machts joined Fidelity International in April 2019 as Head of the Wholesale
business in Germany, Austria and Central & Eastern Europe.
Christian has been appointed to CAO Europe on January 1st, 2022.
As Managing Director, he is also a member of the European management team and is
heading Fidelity’s Innovation Strategy and Fintech initiative in Europe.
Christian has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Before joining Fidelity, he
worked for BlackRock, where he spent six years leading the retail business in Germany,
Austria and Eastern Europe.
He also spent 13 years with Commerzbank and held various management positions, most
recently as EMEA Head of Sales, Asset Management.
