ESG reporting requirements and standards continue to rapidly evolve. The scope of application of these requirements and standards also continues to evolve, applying to an increasing number of entities and often extending beyond climate to take into account broader sustainability disclosures. CSRD is the first legal driver to gather high quality sustainability performance data for companies by making it a mandatory disclosure requirement which investors can rely on for their investment decision making. SFDR reporting is already adopted but may be amended depending on the outcome of the SFDR consultation, thereby creating significant uncertainty.
In this session the panel will discuss key trends and developments in the ESG reporting landscape. Material differences and similarities between regimes and what does this mean for Luxembourg investment funds and companies? What strategic and practical approaches are businesses taking to implementation? What are the key challenges businesses are facing and how are lawyers and service providers helping to mitigate them?
