Enrique Feás is Senior Economist at the Economics Department of the European Investment Bank. He is also non-resident Senior Fellow at Spain’s Elcano Royal Institute. His areas of expertise include international trade and global value chains, geopolitics, economic integration and economic security.
Before joining the EIB, he was independent member of the board of ICO (Spain’s national promotion bank), member of the advisory board of the Asian Development Bank Institute, and associate professor at IE University. Prior to that, as a State Economist for the Spanish civil service, he served as Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Spanish Embassies in Egypt and in the Philippines, Deputy Director General for Trade Policy, and Advisor to the Minister of Economy.
He holds a Masters ‘degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Complutense University and a PhD in Economics from the University of Alcalá.
