Laurent Denayer is the CEO and founder of ume, a Luxembourg-based regtech company transforming due diligence and KYC processes in the asset management industry. With over 30 years of experience in financial services, he began his career in fund management and risk at Fortis before joining EY, where he became a Partner and Global Fund Distribution Leader.

In 2017, he founded ume to address inefficiencies in the manual and fragmented due diligence of fund distributors, developing a global platform that standardises and automates compliance workflows for asset managers. The company has since grown into a leading industry solution, connecting investment managers with thousands of distributors worldwide and serving a market leading share of top cross-border asset managers.
