Edwige THOMAS-NGO TEDGA serves as Conducting Officer and Head of Risk Management at Pictet Asset Management (Europe) S.A.
She became a part of the Risk Management Function at Pictet Asset Management (Europe) S.A. in 2108, following her roles in Depositary oversight services at Bank Pictet & Cie (Europe) AG, Succursale de Luxembourg.
Before her tenure at the Pictet group, which began in September 2015, she dedicated five years to providing guidance to Management Companies and Asset Managers about regulatory, risk, and compliance issues at PwC's Regulatory and Compliance Advisory practice in Luxembourg.
Edwige embarked on her professional journey in 2007, following her graduation from the Paris Graduate School of Management, where she specialized in finance. She actively contributes to ALFI working groups as a member.
Speaking at
Chapter II – ICT Risk Management – of DORA calls for an independent control function responsible for managing and overseeing ICT risk. The definition of control function goes beyond the framework provided by Circular CSSF 18/698 pointing explicitly to the compliance and risk management functions. With flexibility left to investment fund managers, a pertinent question emerges: who should assume the responsibility of managing and overseeing ICT risk? The panel will embrace diverse perspectives and explore the essential DORA requirements and delineate the different operational models implemented by distinct risk managers.
