A multifaceted perspective
Thibault is Conducting Officer and Operational Risk Director at PGIM Real Estate in Luxembourg. PGIM Real Estate is the $210 billion real estate investment firm of PGIM, a global investment manager with more than $1.3 trillion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2023. Thibault joined the company in January 2020.
Prior to PGIM, Thibault was working as a Risk Manager at SMBC NIKKO, an in-house AIFM. Thibault started his career at Lemanik Asset Management as a Risk Management Officer.
Thibault holds a master degree in Asset & Risk management from the Louvain School of Management. He is an active member of several ALFI technical committees (REIF & Risk Management).

Two years after the ESMA Common Supervisory Action on Valuation was launched, valuation and risk experts are reviewing the evolution of market practices. The panel will discuss what has changed and what is still work in progress. In light of more recent developments including IOSCO and national supervisors’ efforts, the panellists will assess whether valuation of financial and real assets is still a topic. Against this background, key items for attention and action are identified on both sides of the coin: methodologies and governance.
