ALFI responds to the consultation paper on the proposed approaches and considerations for EIOPA’s Technical Advice, Implementing and Regulatory Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2019/1238 on a Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP)

The PEPP Regulation sets out a number of empowerments for EIOPA, in consultation with EBA and ESMA as well as the ECB, where relevant, to develop technical standards.

As instructed under the PEPP, EIOPA will provide technical advice to the European Commission for two areas where delegated acts are required: supervisory reporting and EIOPA’s product intervention powers.

This Consultation Paper presents the objective and policy approach to the draft Technical Advice and Technical Standards, explanatory text and a technical annex where relevant.

EIOPA will consider the feedback received and expects to publish a Final Report on the consultation and to submit the Consultation Paper for adoption by the Board of Supervisors."
