ALFI responds to ESAs consultation on DORA criteria for critical ICT third-party service providers

On Friday 26 May, the DORA level 3 discussions started. The three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA – ESAs) launched discussion on criteria for critical ICT third-party service providers and oversight fees.

This takes a form of a joint Discussion Paper seeking stakeholders’ input on aspects of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). As mentioned, the paper proposes and consult on two very technical aspects:

• What are the indicators and objective criteria to determine what is a critical ICT third-party service provider; and
• How to determine the amount paid by critical ICT third-party service provider to the Lead overseer (ESA appointed)

This detailed proposal is accompanied by 41 questions that can be answered in full or partially.
