ALFI issues a position paper on MiCA, DORA, and the Pilot Regime

On 22 June 2021, ALFI published its position paper on MiCA, DORA, and the Pilot Regime.

ALFI welcomes the three proposals for Regulations of the European Commission being part of the digital finance package, a package of measures to further enable and support the potential of digital finance in terms of innovation and competition while mitigating the risks arising from it.

  • The proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on Markets in Crypto-assets, and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937[1] (MiCA);

  • The proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on digital operational resilience for the financial sector and amending Regulations (EC) No 1060/2009, (EU) No 648/2012, (EU) No 600/2014 and (EU) No 909/2014[2] (DORA); and

  • The proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on a pilot regime for market infrastructures based on distributed ledger technology [3] (the Pilot Regime).
