Daniel Barrett, Vice President, Asset Manager Solutions (Offshore) has been a member of the team responsible for the development of State Street’s offshore asset servicing business in Luxembourg since 2008. In his role he is responsible for providing asset managers worldwide with comprehensive and effective global servicing solutions for their traditional and alternative fund ranges. Mr. Barrett has more than 25 years’ experience in the funds industry covering a variety of operational and client service roles. He joined State Street Bank Luxembourg in April 2000 serving asset managers and investment funds across a range of client management, relationship, sales and operational functions.
Philip Leon Campher Chief Executive Officer, Association for Savings & Investments S.A.,Newlands
After graduating from Stellenbosch University, Leon joined Old Mutual in the Investment division in 1973. During the thirteen years with Old Mutual he was an Investment Analyst and Portfolio manager. In 1985 he left Old Mutual to form Syfrets Managed Assets where he was Portfolio Manager and CEO. In 1993 Leon Campher left Syfrets and was one of the founding members of Coronation where he was CEO of Coronation Fund Managers and Executive Director of Coronation Holdings. During his time with Coronation he was one of the founders of African Harvest and served as a Director of African Harvest. In 2002 Leon retired due to ill health. In 2003 Leon Campher was instrumental in the formation of the Investment Management Association South Africa (IMASA) where he served as CEO until 2008. In 2008 he was instrumental in the formation of the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA) and was appointed CEO on 1 October 2008. Leon currently holds the following directorships: ASISA, ASISA Academy, International Investment Fund Association - Sun International Limited, Brimstone Investment Corporation Limited, Equites Property Fund Limited (All listed on the JSE) - JSE Clear (SAFCOM), Strate Limited.
Lize Griffiths, Partner, Deloitte, Luxembourg
Lize Griffiths is a partner with Deloitte in Luxembourg and has 17 years’ experience in audit and related services. She started her career with Deloitte in Cape Town and gained further international experience with Deloitte USA before joining Deloitte in Luxembourg in 2002. She specialises in the audits of real estate structures (alternative investment funds (AIFs) and unregulated direct real estate funds and property companies), debt funds, private equity and investment holding companies. She is a member of the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV), the Real Estate Association of Luxembourg (LuxReal) and participates to various working groups within ALFI. Lize is a Luxembourg Réviseur d’entreprises agréé, a South African Chartered Accountant, a fellow member of ACCA, an US Certified Public Accountant as well as a Luxembourg Expert Comptable.

Jan joined JTC following the acquisition of Kleinwort Benson’s fund administration business in 2015 and is responsible for the management of the fund accounting teams in the Cape Town office. He has more than 14 years’ experience in fund administration and a wealth of knowledge in both private equity and hedge fund operations. Jan has worked in jurisdictional domiciles such as Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, Ireland and the UK with large international names with Deutsche Bank, UBS and BNY Mellon. Qualifications: ACCA
Florence Stainier, Partner, Arendt & Medernach S.A., LuxembourgFlorence Stainier is a Partner in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach where she specialises in legal and regulatory matters related to investment funds and management entities. She advises clients on the creation, structuring, marketing and operations of investment funds with a particular focus on UCITS, alternative UCITS, hedge funds and ETFs. She has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2004 and was also a member of the Brussels Bar (Belgium) until 2013. She is participating in several working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) in particular relating to MIFID, Islamic finance and UCITS matters. He has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management and banking industry. Dariush has led and contributed to various research and thought leadership studies for external clients and in support of other PwC Units. Client assignments development of market entry studies and strategies for multiple global and regional asset managers, product and fee benchmarking reports as well as reports for the EU Commission. He has co-led the thought leadership report on Africa Asset Management 2020 and was member of the editorial board of the Asset Management 2020 report and Alternatives 2020. He holds a MBA from the University of Chicago, GSB.
